What is TheAfricanConnections.com?
The African Connections (or TAC) is online social networking community based around the principle of uniting the many African-Americans around the country. Our focus in on connecting Africans from all countries and all walks of life so they can learn and grow with one another allowing a greater sense of unity amongst each other.

How can I use TAC?
You can use TAC in a variety of ways. Socializing and creating new friendships is just one way you can use TAC. TAC can also help you find jobs, buy or sell goods, find that future roommate you need to get that apartment you wanted, locate a guitar teacher that can give you lessons, and the list goes on. Your possibilities while using TAC are endless!

Who created TAC?
The idea for TAC was developed by TAC pioneer, Ona Coker. He believes that TAC will allow Africans to become more unified as a people and will help put the "spotlight" on African culture. The more that the TAC community grows, the more his dream becomes a reality. We here at TAC are proud to welcome you to the community, and hope that you enjoy yourself and all the services we provide.

How do I use TAC?
Creating an account with TAC is simple. Supply the appropriate information, verify your account, and then you're ready to "Get TAC-ing!" After you have created your account, you can add photos, music, and videos you like. You can join groups with similar interests as yourself. You can also view different events around your local community and across the nation that you might be interested in joining. TAC also offers its "African Premiere" section, which includes music, news, and videos made by Africans sorted by African country.

How do I invite others to use TAC?
After logging in, locate "My Invitations" in the sub-menu below the top navigation bar.

Is TAC free?
The African Connections at the moment is a free service. In the future, possible extended features and profile capabilities might be on a pay-to-use basis. If this becomes a reality, TAC will do it's best in order to inform the TAC community.

Groups and Events
How do I create an event or a group?
Simply click the "Event" or "Group" buttons on the navigation menu and the easy on screen directions and menus will allow you to create any event or any group that you desire to make.

African Premiere

What is African Premiere?
African Premiere consists of a wide range of services that allow Africans to stay in touch with the news, music, and videos indigenous of their country. You can find media from a wide range of places, such as Nigeria, Kenya, and Algeria, along with special content specifically made for the TAC site and the TAC community.

What is African Premiere Magazine?
African Premiere Magazine is a direct feed of all the latest entertainment news, cultural analysises, the latest in African Diaspora and what others are trying to do, Africa Now, politics in African, African economics, African sports, and what various scholars have to say to about Africa.

What is African Premiere Radio?
African Premiere Radio is a unique service TAC provides that allows you to listen to various radio stations, streamed live to your computer, from all across Africa. There is no download required, you just have to have the latest version of Windows Media Player or Realplayer to use APR.

What is African Premiere Television?
African Premiere Television showcases various videos located across the web highlighting not only Africans, but many other countries and nationalites of interest.
